Make a try-on video

Choosing which variations get a video, setting the garment image, seeing the cost first, and what your shoppers see when it's ready.

This page is a draft. It follows the plugin as it is being built, and details may change before release.

Choose the videos

On the product page, each variation has a Try-on video checkbox, with a line saying which body profile shows that size. Bulk actions turn it on or off for every variation. A simple product has the checkbox beside Virtual and Downloadable.

Set the garment image

In the Try-on garment image box in the sidebar, choose a photo from the media library for each colour. A flat-lay or ghost-mannequin photo works best: see What makes a good garment photo. Nothing is taken from the product image unless you set it here, and a product can’t be generated while a colour has no garment image.

Generate

The product’s Publish box shows how many videos there are to make and what they cost in tokens. Generate shows the cost first: the check of the image, the video, the total, and what’s left of your balance and monthly limit. Nothing is spent until you confirm, and saving the product never generates anything.

While it’s being made

The video is made in the background, so you can leave the page. The Publish box, the variation and the Try-On column in Products show where it is: checking the image, making the video, ready, image turned down, or failed. As soon as the image is checked, you see which image is used, with any warning. A notice finds you on any admin page when videos are ready, an image was turned down, or something failed.

When it’s ready

The plugin fetches the finished video into the product’s media by itself, attached to the product and variation it was made for: you download nothing. Remake shows its tokens first; Remove is there too.

What your shoppers see

The video takes the main image’s place in the product’s own gallery, looping and muted, chosen by the shopper’s size and colour, and labelled as AI-generated by default. Your storefront never contacts Try-On: it plays the file stored in your media library.

What it costs

Every image is checked before its video is made, and the check is charged even when the image is turned down. A render that fails at the generator still costs its tokens. More on Tokens.
